Kanpur, Apr 7 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal today alleged the continuous criticism of Election Commission by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav reflected the latter's demoralised state.

''I am fully satisfied with the preparations for the phase I UP poll. Mulayam and his brother Shivpal Singh Yadav are uselessly inveighing the EC. It shows they are unnerved,'' Mr Jaiswal said after casting his vote here.

''It is true that the voting percentage was low today, but the EC is not the reason behind it. The EC has left no stone unturned to conduct free and fair poll. The percentage was low as fake voting could not take place,'' Mr Jaiswal claimed.

The minister noted that the voting percentage was also low because the comman man was not happy with the political changes, that took place in UP in the last three years.
