Lord Tirupati Balaji temple opens for darshan in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, April 7 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Lord Tirupati Balaji temple situated near the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway here.
The temple, built by Ahmedabad Andhra Maha Sabha (AAMS), is an extension of the Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Modi attended the 'Pranapratishtha'' ceremony of Lord Venkateshwara at the temple.
Twenty-five priets from Tirupati, in the presence of Jyothis Peethadishwar Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Shri Madhavashram Maharaj, Jyothirmutt, Badrikashram (Himalayas), conducted the traditional rituals.
Apart from the main Balaji Temple, the other sub-temples of goddess Padmavathi, Andal and the Mukhamandapam have been completed.
The Gaaligopuram (49 feet height) is present at the main entrance of the temple.
