Fortis observes 'Healthcare Week' from April 7-14

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Fortis will observe a 'Healthcare Week' from April 7-14, with an aim to spread healthcare awareness in the country.

The step is an effort to educate people at large about the importance of preventive health check-ups, Fortis spokesperson said.

As a result of the socio-economic and demographic changes within the Indian population, occurrence of lifestyle diseases like cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases has increased, he added.

As part of the Healthcare week, Fortis will launch special packages, which includes health check packages for specific age groups and lifestyle needs, checks that specifically screen heart, kidney and liver condition and consultation by experienced specialists.

Besides, ''The World Health Week'' will be observed at Fortis Hospital in Noida, Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital, Fortis La Femme and the Fortis Hospital in Mohali.

The ''World Health Day'' will be celebrated across the world with an aim to urge governments, organisations, businesses as well as the common man to invest in health and build a safer future, the spokesperson added.
