AP: Former APSEB Chairman passes away
Hyderabad, Apr 7: Power sector expert and former Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board (APSEB) Chairman 'Padmasri' Narla Tata Rao today passed away after a brief illness at a private corporate hospital in the city.
The 90-year-old Rao was suffering from kidney problems for the last month. He was admited to the hospital this morning.
Mr Rao, who hailed from Krishna district, had immensely contributed to the power sector in the State.
He was also instrumental in establishing the thermal power stations at Vijayawada and Kothgudem in the State.
