Dry weather to prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, UP, HP, J

Pune, Apr 7 (UNI) Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Viddarbha and Marathwada.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Saurashtra and parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat region and at isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh and madhya Maharashtra.

Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in coastal Karnataka.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, in some parts of Uttaranchal and was appreciably above normal in Chattisgarh and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, madhya Maharashtra and were above normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana.

They were markedly below normal in Assam and Meghalaya and were below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and in remaining parts of Orissa.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka.
