Bail rejected to Papiya murder accused

Patna, Apr 7 (UNI) The fast track court judge of Patna Omprakash today turned down the regular bail plea of four accused lodged in prison in the sensational Papiya Ghosh murder case.

The accused who were refused bail were Shankar Sao, Manohar Kumar, Anil Uraon and Ashish Kumar.

According to the charges, a professor of Patna University Ms Papiya Ghosh and her maid Malti Devi were killed when they tried to resist an attempt to commit dacoity in the professor's residence under Patliputra colony of the state capital in the night of December 2, 2006.

Hearing in the case was in progress and today the eighth prosecution witness deposed in the court.
