AP CM mourns death of Tata Rao

Hyderabad, Apr 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy expressed grief at the demise of former Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Power Board and one of the architects of power sector in the country Padmasri Narla Tata Rao here today.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the services rendered by Tata Rao to build up, develop and strengthen the power sector in a sustained manner so as to cater to the power requirements of domestic, commercial and industrial consumers.

Dr Reddy said Tata Rao's dedicated services and meticulous planning enabled the power sector to contribute to increase productivity in agriculture and growth of industrial front as well as trade and commerce, and thereby increase the employment potential in the country.

He said Tata Rao constributed his mite to develop NTPC and Power Grid in the country.

The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
