About 10 killed in TN explosion
Chennai, Apr 7 (UNI) At least 10 people were killed when a tanker lorry carrying highly inflammable material exploded in Villuppuram district of Tamil Nadu today.
Police told UNI that the explosion occurred at around 1130 hrs at Chendur village on the Villuppuram-Tindivanam highway.
Several people sustained burns in the accident.
Traffic on the busy Chennai-Trichy National Highway was affected following the explosion.
Unconfirmed reports, however, put the death toll at over 20 in the explosion.
