51 houses gutted in UP capital

Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) As many as 51 houses were gutted in an inferno caused by an electric transformer in Maal area of the Uttar Pradesh state capital today.

The incident occurred at Kakrabad village, where the 51 'kuccha' were gutted, besides loss worth lakhs of rupees to wheat crops, police said.

Fire brigade could control the blaze only after four hrs.

There, however, was no casuality, police added.
