3 UTPs escape from Williamnagar jail

Shillong, Apr 7 (UNI) Three under-trial-prisoners(UTPs) have escaped from Williamnagar district jail in East Garo Hills district, jail authorities reported today.

The three UTPs - Sanphil Sangma(41), Sane A Sangma alias Sanjay(25) and Francis A Sangma alias Forn and Raju(24), yesterday broke the ventilation gaurds of the cell, scaled the wall with the help of blankets and clothes and escaped from the prison early yesterday morning, jail authorities said here today.

A man-hunt is on to nab the escaped prisoners.
