Youth brutally killed over illicit relation

Akola, Apr 6 (UNI) A youth was axed to death for having an illicit relationship with wife of another man at village Sakharodoha in Manora taluka of adjoining washim district yesterday.

Police today said the deceased, identified as Santosh Pundlik Ghate (29), had illicit relations with wife of one Ganesh Jagaldare.

Dinesh, the brother of Ganesh saw the deceased in comprising position, with the wife of Ganesh.

Dinesh, Ganesh and Janardan of Jagaldare family members attacked the deceased with axe and other sharp weapons yesterday.

Santosh was badly injured and admitted to the hospital. However, he was declared dead by the hospital.

The offences were registered under sections 302, 323 (34 of indian penal code) against three assailants Dinesh, Ganesh and Janardan who are now cooling their heels in police custody.

Further investigation is on, police added.
