Valuators go on 'pen down' strike
Mysore, Apr 5 (UNI) Teachers valuating the answer papers of SSLC examinations resorted to pen down strike today in all the six centres in the city in support of their demands.
Speaking to newsmen President of the Karnataka Secondary School Teachers' Association K C Putta Sidda Shetty observed that the allowance being paid to valuators was unscientific. They demand a daily allowance of Rs 200 and Rs 100 for valuators in rural and urban area, respectively.
The demands include a minimum fee of Rs ten should be paid per script irrespective of the subject, he said.
Depending on the response from the government, the association would decide the future course of action tomorrow, he added.
