Three Vaishnodevi pilgrims killed, five injured

Jammu, Apr 6 (UNI) Three Vaishno Devi pilgrims including a girl were killed and five persons were injured in a bus-truck collision on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Kathua district last evening police today said.

Police said a Haryana Roadways bus in which pilgrims were traveling in collided head on with a truck coming from opposite direction at Chandwan Morh near Hiranagar in the district.

The deceased were identified as Sher Singh, his daughter Jyoti, and Ajay Kumar, all residents of Kangra (Himachal Pradesh). The injured were identified as Pinki Devi, wife of Sher Singh, her son Aditya (both residents of Kangra), Puran Singh, son of Ladhu Singh of Rajasthan and two drivers.

The injured were shifted to the District Hospital from where Pinki Devi was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) hospital.
