Raju on week-long visit to NE

Shillong, Apr 6 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju arrived here today on a week-long tour to the North Eastern states.

On his arrival, Mr Raju held closed-door meeting with the GOC of 101 Area Major General Vinod Nayanar, Air Officer Commander-in -Chief of Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal P K Barbora, a press communique stated here today.

He is scheduled to meet Meghalaya Governor M M Jacob and Chief Minister D D Lapang later this evening.

He would also meet the senior officials of the Border Roads Organisation to discuss the ongoing road infrastructure projects in the international border areas.
