Rabri urges EC to derecognise BJP
Patna, Apr 6 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today urged the Election Commission(EC) to cancel the recognition of the BJP for circulating a controversial CD containing ''objectionable'' remarks against minorities as part of its electional material for the UP elections.
In a release, Rabri Devi dubbed the action of the BJP as ''highly irresonsible'' and said the party was resorting to ''dirty games to divide the society on communal lines for political mileage in UP assembly elections''.
''BJP president Rajnath Singh and other senior party leaders should be booked for treason,'' she demanded.
''The controversial cassette was still under circulation among the electorate despite the 'serious note' taken by the EC in this regard'' Ms Rabri Devi lamented.
''No one should be allowed to disturb the communal harmony of the country and those indulging in such kind of activities should be sternly death with,'' she said.
