Peshawar University lecturers on visit to JNU

New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) A 15-member team from Peshawar University is on a visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University here.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers Association today accorded a hearty welcome to the delegation of Peshawar University Teachers Association, which included three women teachers.

The visiting faculty held interaction with the teachers associations of JNU and Jamia Milia Islamia, during which a call was given to form a SAARC Universities Teachers Association.

Stressing the need for visa relaxation for teachers visiting SAARC countries, the group welcomed the relaxation of visa conditions for teachers announced by Indian government in the recently held SAARC summit.

However, it was suggested that visa conditions for professionals should be abolished altogether as in the case of India and Nepal.

Apart from JNU, the delegation had visited Benaras Hindu University and Kolkata University.
