Hurriyat to launch mass contact from Abdullah bastion

Srinagar, Apr 6 (UNI) The moderate Hurriyat Conference, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, would launch a mass contact programme tomorrow from Ganderbal, the once stronghold of the Abdullah family., A Hurriyat spokesman in a statement here said the separatist amalgam has decided to launch a mass contact programme and hold public rallies and meetings throughout Jammu and Kashmir to inform the people about the ongoing dialogue process.

The moderate Hurriyat Conference would also inform the people about its efforts in finding a permanent solution to the vexed Kashmir issue through a meaningful dialogue, he added.

The spokesman said the separatist conglomerate would also highlight the importance of the role of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at this crucial juncture.

He said the Mirwaiz and other senior Hurriyat leaders would address the first public meeting at Beehaama Chowk in Ganderbal on the city outskirts tomorrow.
