Four killed, 2 injured in car-bus collision

Kochi, Apr 6 (UNI) Four people were killed and two injured when their Maruti 800 car collided with a KSRTC bus near Kuthatukulam in Ernakulam district this morning.

Local police said the deceased were identified as Zachariah, 44, from Pallikathod in Kottayam district, his son Chacko, two-and-a-half years, one Anil Kumar, 30 and Sijo, 36.

The injured were identified as Zachariah's wife Sindhu, 36, and their elder son, Tony, 12. They were admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital with leg injuries.

Police said the accident, which took place around 0930 hrs., was caused by a lapse on the part of the car driver.
