Former UPSC Chairman M L Shahare dies

New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) Former Union Public Service Commission Chairman M L Shahare died in a city hospital late yesterday. He was 78.

Dr Shahare, who died in Holy Family Hospital here, had been ailing for some time, family sources said today.

He had served as UPSC Chairman from 1979 to 1985. He was also awarded Padmashree in 1975.

Dr Shahare is survived by three sons and two daughters.

The cremation would take place at Lodhi Road Crematorium here tomorrow.
