Fire kills two kids in Akola

Akola, Apr 6 (UNI) Two minors were burnt to death while playing with the lighted matchstick, in Atkal bordering Buldana district yesterday.

Police today said the deceased were identified as Mangesh Bhimsingh Rajput(6) and Vijay Totaram Sannase(5). They were playing in the court yard of a locked house when 68-year-old Pankaur Amarsing Rajput left the house for work.

The two kids sneaked in the locked house through a hole and took the matchstick from the match box kept nearby. However a kerosene can fell down and the area caught fire as the kids were toying with the matchstick.

The villagers rushed to the house and shifted the kids with 70 and 90 per cent burns to neaby hospital where they were declared dead, police added.
