EC sets up control room at Delhi and Lucknow to receive complaints

New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) has set up control rooms to receive complaints from political parties and public for the first phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP) to expeditiously look into the complaints.

According to EC sources, the control rooms will start functioning from tomorrow in Delhi as well as in Lucknow and the public/political parties could register their complaints over telephones.

The commission has set up the control room at the Nirvachan Sadan in Delhi with telephone numbers 23717045 and 23717164. The control room for the Lucknow was set up at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer having telephone numbers 0522- 2200674 and 2230098.
