Cracker shop explosion toll seven as another body recovered

Kozhikode, Apr 6 (UNI) With the recovery of one more body today, the toll in yesterday's fire accident here rose to seven.

According to police, workers engaged in rescue operations recovered the body of one Rameshchandran, a native of Olavanna in Kozhikode district from the goodown of Kerala stationary which housed a cracker shop, early in the morning.

Six bodies were recovered yesterday following the explosion in the shop.

As many as 40 shops were fully gutted while an equal number were partially damaged, causing an estimated loss of about Rs 15 crore.
