CJI to open meet on Access to justice
New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan will open an all India seminar on Access to Justice in New Delhi tomorrow oragnisers said tonight.
''Quick and easy justice at reasonable fees,'' to which Indian litigants are entitled, is yet to be, Confederation of Indian Bar president Pravin Parekh told journalists.
He cited ''Very high'' expenses, long-drawn adjudication processes and close to 30 million cases are alreday pending in courts across the country.
''The object is not to find fault,'' Parekh said adding that the idea was to thrash out issues and see ''What we could do. How we could do.'' Supreme Court and High Court judges, advocates and other professionals are expected to participate, he said.
