Chehering Targay takes over as New Chief Sec

Port Blair, Apr 6: Chehering Targay, a 1976 batch officer of Indian Administrative Service(IAS), has taken over the Andaman administration as the new chief secretary, official sources said here today.

Mr Targey has replaced Shumsher K Sheriff, who has been transferred, and would take up his new assignment in New Delhi.

Prior to his assignment, Mr Targey, who hails from Himalchal Pradesh, was the Resident Commissioner of the Pondicherry in New Delhi, official sources added.
