Centre must take immediate steps to protect minorities: AIMBCF
Shajapur, MP, Apr 6 (UNI) The All India Muslim Backward Classes Federation (AIMBCF) has demanded that the Centre take immediate steps to protect minorities in Madhya Pradesh.
AIMBCF Chairman Ibrahim Qureshi told UNI here that he met with affected Muslims in Narsinghgarh.
He alleged that the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh Government was committing atrocities against Muslims in a planned manner wherein RSS and VHP workers were taking law in their hands.
Mr Qureshi said he had written to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil that a particular organisation was targeting Muslims and causing loss to their life and property.
He had demanded a CBI inquiry into the communal violence in Indore, Khargone, Byavarah and Narsinghgarh.
Haryana Deputy Speaker Azad Mohammed and All India Mew Mahasangh Choudhary Iliyas would visit Narsinghgarh next week and met the victims.
He claimed that the Narsinghgarh incident could have been avoided if the district administration had taken strict action rioters when communal disturbances occurred in Byavarah.
