Agitation against CWDT award enters 61st day

Mysore, Apr 6 (UNI) The dharans, protests, road blocks were held by the farmers and pro-Kannada organisations, even as the agitation against the final verdict of the Cauvery Water Dispute Tribunal entered 61st day in the Cauvery basin districts.

In Mandya, members of Thimmanahusaru Sthree Shakthi Mahila Self Help Group and Milk Producers staged Rasta Rokho on Mysore-Bangalore State highway for some time against the verdict. They shouted slogans against the Union Government and held dharna at Silver Jubilee Park.

The dharana also continued at Maddur, Srirangpatna and Pandavapur.

The Cuavery protest continued in Mysore by Cauvery Kriya Samithi.
