72-year-old cancer patient jumps to death in Dwarka
New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) A 72-year-old retired Sales Tax officer, undergoing treatment for cancer, allegedly jumped to his death in Dwarka area of South-West Delhi.
Lalit Joshi, hailing from Haldwani in Uttarakhand, was found dead this morning at his daughter place in Dwarka's Sector 12, where he had come to stay, according to sources.
He had reportedly jumped from the thrid floor of the DDA Flats building where he was staying.
No suicide note has been found.
Sources said Joshi, who ahd retired as Sales Tax Superintendent from Uttar Pradesh, was depressed because of his treatment for cancer.
Yesterday, a 69-year-old businessman from Chandigarh had died after he allegedly jumped from the 16th floor of a highrise in Connaught Place area of New Delhi district.
