27 Kg poppy straw siezed

Jammu, Apr 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested six smugglers and seized three gas tankers recovering 27 kilograms of poppy straw (BHUKHI) from their possession at Kalibari area of Kathua district.

Police intercepted three gas tankers, which were on its way from Srinagar to Punjab at Kalibari naka. During checking of these gas tankers, police recovered 27 kgs of poppy straw from three vihicles yesterday.

Police arrested six drivers and conductors who were identified as Narveh Singh, Amrik Singh, Laxman Singh (all drivers), Raman Singh, Narotam Singh and Baljit Singh.
