Six persons injured in clash

Gulbarga, Apr 5 (UNI) Six devotees were injured in a clash in Santrasasvadi mosque while namaz was being offered, here last night.

Police said the trouble started when some Muslims insisted that namaz should be offered in standing position and others said it should be done in the sitting posture. In the ensuing clash, six people were hacked, of whom four have been admitted to the Government General Hospital.

Superintendent of Police Manish Kabirkar told UNI that the clash took place among the devouts and it was not a sectarian violence.

Four people have been arrested in this connection.
