SC admits writ seeking CBI probe into manufacture of Gujarat CDs
New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) The Supreme Court today admitted a writ petition seeking a CBI probe into the incident of manufacture, sale and distribution of CDs in Gujarat allegedly inciting violence against Christians for encouraging conversions among tribals in Dang district of the state.
A bench comprising Justices A K Mathur and Dalveer Bhandari admitted the petition filed by ANHAD, an NGO seeking a ban on the manufacture, distribution and circulation of the CDs which allegedly exhorted Hindus to eliminate all Christians in the state.
Other respondents in the case are Centre and the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium assured the court the Centre will look into the allegations.
