RJD demands CBI probe into Munda tenure

Ranchi, Apr 5 (UNI) Causing embarrassment to the Madhu Koda-led UPA government, a member of the ruling coalition today dared the government to initiate a CBI probe into the ''misdeeds and mismanagement'' done during the previous Arjun Munda-led NDA government.

Raising the point during the Zero Hour notice, Mr Girinath Singh (RJD) said ''agar sarkar mein dum hein to yeh janch CBI se karaye jani chahiye'' (if the government has the guts then it should allow CBI inquiry into it).

The Opposition also rose on its feet challenging the government to make things clear for the public interest.

Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda (BJP) said let the inquiry be initiated as he would have no problem in it which was equally supported by BJP member Upendra Nath Das.

At this the Chief Minister, who was himself a minister in the erstwhile Munda government holding many responsible posts, could only say ''if required the government will do that (CBI probe) too.'' UNI
