Reliance Industries Q4 net expected at Rs 2661 cr: Edelweiss

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) Index heavyweight Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is expected to post profit after tax (PAT) of a whopping Rs 2,661.1 crore (Rs 26.61 bn) during the first quarter of the financial year, against Rs 2,502 crore (Rs 25.02 bn) during the corresponding quarter last year, according to a study conducted by Edelweiss Research.

Subsequently, RIL's revenue during the same quarters are anticipated to be at Rs 25,419.8 crore (Rs 254.19 bn) as compared to Rs 24,542 crore (Rs 245.2 bn) last year, the study added.

Edelweiss Research has come out with a report on the earning estimates of oil and gas companies. It estimates that this year, profits of oil and gas companies are likely to be higher on account of improvement in crude prices, higher refining margins and rupee appreciation.
