Property worth Rs three lakh looted from Shaktipunj exp

Daltonganj, Apr 5 (UNI) Armed miscreants looted goods worth Rs 3 lakh from passengers of Shaktipunj express between Daltonganj and Garwah Road railway station under Daltonganj- Dehri-on-sone rail division in Jharkhand's Palamu district today.

Police said about ten miscreants boarded the general bogie of the train at the Daltonganj station and looted the valuables including jewellery and mobile phones.

Five of them were nabbed by the villagers after they heard passengers shouting, police said adding all the miscreants belonged to Garwah district.

Police recovered a double barrel gun and a country made revolver from them.
