Precious metals rise smartly

Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) Precious metals today surged ahead on bullish global advices with Silver up by Rs 85 per kg and standard Gold by Rs 90 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.

Silver opened upward at Rs 19,625 per kg on higher advice.

and closed at the same level with a gain of Rs 85 from its yesterday's close.

In London, Silver also went up at USD 13.58/13.60 per troy ounce against USD 13.45/13.47 per troy ounce in New York.

Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened upwards at Rs 9,425 and Rs 9,475 per ten gm.

The yellow metal slightly eased and closed at Rs 9,410 and Rs 9,455 with a gain of Rs 90 for standard Gold and Rs 85 for pure Gold from its last close.

In London, the yellow metal also rose at USD 671.40/673.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 663.40/666.00 per troy ounce in New York on Wednesday.
