MSN India announces online voting for IIFA Awards
Bangalore, Apr 5 (UNI) MSN India today announced online voting on its portal for the eighth annual International Indian Film Academy awards, to be held in Yorkshire, England, from June seven to ten.
MSN India Executive Producer Krishna Prasad, in a release here today, said ''the IIFA Awards is the only event that allows viewers from across the world to decide the best performance in Indian Cinema and we are excited to bring this to fans around the globe. We are proud to extend our support to IIFA in promoting Indian cinema globally.'' The nominees for each category were short listed by an industry panel of film experts. The voting would be managed and monitored by Price Warehouse Coopers. Fans from India and across the globe could vote online for their favourite movies and performers of the year on www.in.msn.com. The last date for voting would be May 25, the release said.
This year, IIFA Awards would have a global theme - 'To Control Global Warming' - and would be associated with Global Cool, an organisation that championed the cause.
