Major fire breaks out in Mumbai
Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) A major fire broke out today in a building near the monumental Gateway of India in south Mumbai.
The fire started at around 1030 hrs in the office of Agriculture and Finance Company, situated on the first floor of Dhananjay building, fire brigade sources said, adding that no one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is stated to be a short circuit.
In the fire clothes shops situated on the ground floor of the building were partially damaged. Three employees, who were inside the shops, were rescued unhurt by the firemen.
Eight fire engines, four water tankers and three ambulances were rushed to extinguish the fire, the sources added.
