Major fire at cracker shop

Kozhikode, Apr 5 (UNI) As many as 30 people, including two press photographers, sustained burn injuries in a major fire at a cracker shop on the busy S M Street here today.

Unofficial reports said 30 people were injured, some of them seriously, in the fire in the godown of Kerala Stationary. They were admitted to nearby hospitals.

Fire engines were engaged in extinguishing the fire.

Senior Officials, including district Collector A Jay Tilak, rushed to the spot to supervise rescue operation.
