Kaleeswari Refinery signs MoU with NSA consultant

Chennai, Apr 5 (UNI) Kaleeswari Refinery Private Limited, manufacturer of Gold Winner Sunflower oil, a leading brand in the market, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with US-based National Sunflower Association's (NSA) consultant for improving the quality of its products.

The MoU singed between Mr G M Samy, Chairman, Kaleeswari Refinery and Mr Robert M Pierce, consultant of NSA here last evening, would be valid for a period of one year, during which time, the consultant would render his services to constantly upgrade and maintain quality of the company products.

Under the agreement, Mr Pierce would visit the Refinery for five days now and would make a second visit, if necessary before the end of the MoU period to make his assessment and suggest changes and improvements. The term of the MoU could be extended for a further period.

Mr Pierce, who visited the Refinery, told newspersons last night that "Kaleeswari Refinery was a quality organisation, selling quality products. Having the focus on quality, the company was constantly improving the quality..Its a real challenge to me to work with the organisation." The top management of the company was committed to quality and he was impressed with the cleanliness in the plant. "I have seen some of the reasonably good plants and this one is excellent," he commended.

The greatest surprise was the de-vaxing process, Mr Pierce said adding the vax cakes were almost free from oil and the company was using a remarkable technology in de-vaxing. He also gave a clean chit to the oil, stating that the taste of the oil gave an excellent flavour and the colour was very good.
