IBM signs multi-million services deal with Sony Pictures
Bangalore, Apr 5 (UNI) Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has inked a five-year, 3.8 million Dollar contract with IBM to support its global financial system.
Sony Pictures Chief Financial Officer David Hendler, in a release here, said that ''here at Sony Pictures, we have put a real priority on fiscal discipline and the integration and growth of our business on a worldwide scale.'' IBM Global Business Services would provide application management services for Sony Picture's SAP global financial applications, leveraging IBM's India-based global delivery capabilities. The agreement, which included application, system development and security support responsibilities, would allow Sony Picture's own IT staff to focus on other high-priority new project and improvement initiatives, the release said.
