Fiery voice of ram temple movement to consolidate bjp votes
Varanasi, Apr 5 (UNI) One of the two fiery female voices of Ram temple movement Sadhvi Ritambhara will consolidate Hindu votes in favour of Kalyan Singh-led BJP during the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
Highly placed vhp sources said the firebrand saffron leader who had gonet into hibernation after the Babri mosque demolition in 1992 has promised to lead the 'Hindu Ekta Yatra' in 19 districts of east up.
The Yatra which will start from Bharat Mata Mandir here on April 15 next is intended to serve VHP's objective of consolidating Hindu votes in favour of Kalyan Singh-led BJP under the banner of 'Hindu Voters Forum.' The decision in this respect was taken at a meeting between Hindu saints and VHP international president Ashok Singhal here this afternoon, sources added.
''Sadhvi Ritambharaji is currently busy in giving religious discourses, but has promised to spearhead the yatra after becoming free from other assignments on April 12 next,'' Manoj Kumar, VHP Sangathan Mantri of Kashi Prant covering 19 east up districts said.
Along with former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and now president of Bharatiya Janashakti Party, Uma Bharti, Sadhvi Ritambhara, also a religious preacher were the two firebrand female voices who rendered vigour to the Ram temple movement.
Besides, consolidating Hindu votes in favour of Kalyan Singh-led BJP, the Hindu Ekta Yatra (April 15 to April 30) will also unite the Hindus on crucial issues like saving the undersea Ram Setu from destruction under the Sethusamudram shipping canal project, terrorism and ban on cow slaughter.
Mr Singhal started off a signature campaign to save the Ram Setu from Varanasi here today and also addressed Hindu Saints at the Ram Janaki Mandir in the city.
