EC files case against BJP in CD episode

Lucknow, Apr 5 (UNI) The Election Commission today filed a case against the BJP for releasing an audio-vidual CD which allegedly contained objectionable matter, during its campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

The CD has already been withdrawn by the party, which has tendered an apology for the entire episode.

The case was registered at Hazratganj Police Station here under RP Act Section 125 charging BJP with trying to create communal disturbance.
