Dubai-based company offers job to Indian

Dubai, April 5 (UNI) A dubai-based logistics company has offered to help a man from Kerala who lost his job because of a flight delay.

Afsal Abdulla Kutty's visa was to expire on March 24. He was scheduled to reach Sharjah on that day, but the Indian flight from Cochin was delayed by 10 hours and he landed in Sharjah the next day.

Following this, Afsal was sent back by the Sharjah Immigration officials.

Sateesh K Nair of the Dubai company told Emirates today he was moved after hearing the story on radio.

Mr Nair called the radio station and offered Afsal the post of a clerk as the company was looking to fill in a vacancy.

Afsal, who mortgaged his house in Alappuzha and sold off his small shop, said when he thought all his hopes had ended, he received the phone call with the job offer.
