Dry weather to prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, UP, Uttaranchal

Pune, Apr 5 (UNI) Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, north Konkan, north madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of coastal Saurashtra and madhya Maharashtra and at isolated places in north interior Karnataka.

Day tempratures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, south Tamil Nadu, parts of Konkan and in remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, madhya Maharashtra and Karnataka.

They were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu.

They were below normal in remaining parts of Assam and Meghalaya.

The day temperatures were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, south Konkan and Goa, south madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
