Ranchi, Apr 5 (UNI) Alleged misuse of railway passes by the top police officer of Jharkhand today rocked the House with the Opposition threatening to approach the CBI in this matter or taking the issue to the court.

Raising the issue during call attention motion, Saryu Rai (BJP) told the House that present Director General of Police, who was the former DG of Government Rail Police (GRP), was still ''enjoying'' illegally the facilities of railway passes.

Mr Rai said the state DGP in question despite relinquishing his post in the GRP was allegedly misusing the duty passes, adding he had submitted all necessary document to Speaker Alamgir Alam in this regard to justify his allegation.

The BJP member said he had reports that even the railway employees, who raised objection to such anomalies, were either suspended or sacked.

He said if the government did not take action, he would be left with no option but to approach the CBI or file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).

However, Water Resources Minister Kamlesh Singh said the governmnet had not receeived any such allegation so far.

The Chief Vigilance Commission had not got any such complaint, Mr Singh said adding such passes were issued only after thorough investigation to the eligible officer concerned.

He said action would be taken if complaint was received, he said.
