Corps Commander reviews security situation in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 5 (UNI) Spear Corps GOC Lt Gen MS Dadwal is at the Leimakhong military headquarters to review the security situation in Manipur, a defence spokesman said here today.

The Corps Commander was received yesterday by GOC of Red Shield Division Maj Gen EJ Kochekkan.

He also held a meeting here, chaired by Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and attended by Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh and Manipur DGP Joykumar, GOC 57 Mountain Division, Maj Gen Kochekkan, IG AR(S) Maj Gen Chengapa and other senior police officers and paramilitary forces at Imphal.

Later, the Corps Commander also called on Governor Dr S S Sidhu at Raj Bhavan.
