Chandigarh businessman jumps to death from CP building
New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) A 69-year-old businessman from Chandigarh allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise in Connaught Place area of New Delhi this morning.
Jagdish Kalsi, owner of 'Kalsi Tyres', allegedly jumped from the 16th floor of Ambadeep Building on Kasturba Gandhi Marg at about 1030 hrs, according to the police.
The businessman, who had come from Chandigarh a few days ago, reportedly made a call to his brother who lives in the exclusive Malcha Marg area, before ending his life, requesting him to ''look after the family''.
Police said no suicide note has been found though two envelopes with some phone numbers were recovered from his pocket.
The cause of the suicide is being investigated, police added.
