BHPV posts sales turnover of Rs 176 crore

Visakhapatnam, Apr 5 (UNI) The Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels (BHPV) has registered a sales turnover of Rs 176 crore during 2006-07 compared to Rs 123 crore the previous year, a company release said today.

Though the company was referred to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, the plan to revive it with the support of BHEL was under consideration of the Centre.

The financial results would have been more impressive but for the heavy interest burden of Rs 56 crore due to loans from the banks, the release added.
