Bank employee convicted in Bihar
Patna, Apr 5 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Radheshyam Prasad today awarded rigorous imprisonment of five years to a Bank employee in a case of forgery and abuse of official position.
The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict.
Designated judge found Rakesh Raman Dubey, a former clerk-cum-cashier of State Bank of India (SBI), guilty under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act.
According to the charges, the convict during his posting in SBI Dariyapur Gola branch of Patna had drawn to the tune of Rs 20 lakh from different branches of the Bank through fraudulent ways in 1989.
