43 per cent polling on today's MCD 'peaceful' polls
New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) Nearly 43 per cent polling was reported in today's by and large 'peaceful polling' for the 272-seat Municipal Corporation of Delhi, even as repolling has been ordered at ten places.
Delhi State Election Commissioner S P Marwah told mediapersons that though reports from a few polling station were yet to arrive, but an estimated 43 percentage of votes were cast in today's polls.
By and large polling has been peaceful, despite stray incidents of violence, clashes and protests, he said while lauding the role of security forces whom he attributed ''the smooth conduct of polls''.
He, however, added that re-polling would be held at ten polling stations in four wards, from where complaints have been received.

tomorrow
itself.''
