250 vets to be appointed: Minister

Kancheepuram, April 5 (UNI) Animal Husbandry Minister Geetha Jeevan today announced that 250 veterinarians would be appointed all over Tamil Nadu soon to fill vacancies.

Declaring open a veterinary hospital built at a cost of Rs 29 lakh at Walajabad in this district, she said under a NABAR scheme, 89 veterinary hospitals would be established at a cost of Rs 60 crore.

Participating in the function, Labour Minister T M Anbarasu gave away pattas to the poor.

District Collector Pradeep Yadav presided.
